The Administration of Justice Bureau, established in 1970, is a program operated within the College of Applied Sciences and Arts at San Jose State University. The goals of the Administration of Justice Bureau are to:

- Enhance the professional development of law enforcement personnel by providing comprehensive, relevant and current training
- Ensure quality course curriculum and excellence in instruction to the law enforcement professional
- Increase the knowledge and skills of the law enforcement investigator assigned to major crime areas
- Promote community partnerships with local law enforcement to enhance cooperative efforts to combat criminal behavior
- Explore new trends and issues in the justice system including penal codes, case law, criminal methods of operation and investigative techniques
- Promote the professionalism of law enforcement agencies through community relations, management and leadership skills
- Disseminate research finding pertinent to the application of criminal justice procedures and practices
